This summer, I received a National Endowments for the Humanities grant to study in Oaxaca, Mexico with thirty other teachers from around the States. The project focuses on Mesoamerican indigenous cultures in Oaxaca, and we’ll be learning about their archaeology, languages, art, and special film projects aimed at bringing a spotlight to indigenous issues. So join me as I get to practice my (rusty) Spanish, eat some killer food (hopefully not too killer), and try to make BCAM proud!
